On Baby Alive Season 4 with the new visual look. Developing the new look with client & colleagues my primary responsibility was to create flexible Master Materials for skin, fabrics & other bespoke materials. We leveraged Unreal Engines new Substrate Material system to mix BSDFs together and create a highly modular plug and play material system that was flexible enough to propagate across all 12 characters for the season.
This allowed the creation of individual bespoke materials (e.g. glitter) that could be placed within material functions and reused within a different characters master material. It also allowed for easy stacking of additional materials such as mud, paint and other mischief the babies got up to during the season
